Meet Paul Nello Romero
Paul Nello Romero is the founder of Amistad Bail Bonds. A Raleigh resident since 1992, he is a graduate of Sanderson High School and attended North Carolina Central University. With deep roots in North Carolina, Paul founded Amistad Bail Bonds in 2009 after seeing the need for structure, accountability, and fast, accurate execution in the bail process.
Built From Real Operational Experience
Paul brings more than 30 years of executive leadership within regulated financial and operational environments. During his 21 years with McDonald's Corporation, he advanced into senior leadership, serving as an Operations Business Consultant.
He worked directly with franchise owners on compliance, financial performance, standards, and multi-unit operational execution.
This background shaped the way Amistad thinks about systems, training, accountability, and repeatable execution for agents.
Insurance, Risk, and Compliance Experience
Paul owned and operated a licensed Allstate insurance agency for 10 years. His work included underwriting analysis, financial risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintains active licenses in Surety Bail Bonds, Life, Accident & Health, Casualty, Property, Medicare Supplement, Variable Life, and Variable Annuity.
- Previously held Series 6 and Series 63 securities registrations.
The bail industry requires risk judgment, documentation, compliance awareness, and disciplined decision-making. This experience supports how Amistad evaluates and supports agents.
